The Board of Trustees consists of eight members, of whom three are judicial appointees, three are legislative appointees and two are gubernatorial appointees. Unless appointed to an unexpired term, trustees serve four years -- the current four-year statutory term expires on June 30, 2024. The trustees are:

The Board annually elects its Chair -- the current Chair is Judge Grise. By statute, the Judicial Retirement Fund is under the control of an Investment Committee consisting of those members of the Board who are the judicial and gubernatorial appointees. Those members are Judge George, Judge Grise and Justice Venters (judicial appointees), and Mr. Donahue and Mr. LeLaurin (gubernatorial appointees). Mr. LeLaurin is the current Chair of the Investment Committee for the Judicial Retirement Fund. The Legislators Retirement Fund is under the control of an Investment Committee consisting of those members of the Board who are the legislative and gubernatorial appointees. Those members are Representative Montell, Judge Jensen and Senator Bowen (legislative appointees), and Mr. Donahue and Mr. LeLaurin (gubernatorial appointees). Senator Bowen is the current Chair of the Investment Committee for the Legislators Retirement Fund.
