Retiree health insurance plan options for 2023 were unchanged from 2022, however, premiums did increase approximately 3-5% across all plans offered. Depending on the members' individual service, costs may or may not have increase. JFRS plans cover a percentage of premiums, dependent upon the member's years of service. Any balance remaining was deducted from monthly benefits.

2023 Living Well Promise
All plans for 2023 required the completion of a Biometric Screening or online Health Assessment prior to July 1, 2022. Members earn up to $480 a year ($40 a month) in premium discounts by completing the Promise. If a member does not complete the Promise, they will be responsible for paying a $40 per month incentive during the 2024 plan year.
